 In 2010, the Agawam Cultural Council's Give Back to the Community Program made possible: two $1,000 grants to Agawam High School students; the presentation of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra Musical Petting Zoo to Agawam Elementary Schools; a writing contest for all children and adults living in Agawam; tickets to the Majestic Theater Summer Programs for children participating in a Library-held contest; donations to the Friends of the Agawam Public Library for Photo and Art Shows; and the Applause Series , nine events from September to May, free and open to the public with a variety of guests.
