Grants Awarded to Agawam High School Students The Agawam Cultural Council is pleased to
announce the awarding of three One-Thousand
Dollar Grants to local High School students
interested in pursuing arts-related careers.
The first award went to Mr. Scott Urban presented by grant committee members, Jay Berger and Shirley Kibbe. His award recognizes
his superlative work in the graphic
and illustrative arts. The second award, was presented to Ms. Mikala Wollmershauser for her stellar achievements as a writer of fiction and non fiction.
The third award was presented to Ryan Mulkern for his outstanding musical accomplishments.

Ryan Mulkern and his friend, Cara Nittler (flute) perform for the Agawam Cultural Council at the awards meeting. Mr. Mulkern plays several instruments and is a member of the Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestra.
